“I'm happy to get a lot of people connected with the underwater world, and to help them conquer their fear by their own bravery. Additionally, I can assist people to follow their dreams to be diving instructors”, K. Pui from Diveinfo says proudly. She chose not to walk the path in a corporate world and became a full-time diving instructor instead.

Gother will get you to know Kru Pui from Diveinfo, a former computer engineer who is now an instructor. She has turned so many people into diving instructors.

Kru Pui reveals that she has loved the sea since she was young. Her family always took trips to the sea, so she had chances to do snorkeling in Phi Phi Islands, Similan Islands, and Koh Tao. Those made her fascinated in the beauty of the underwater world. She determined to find an opportunity to take scuba diving classes.

“Can you believe it? Once I got my first salary, I spent it immediately on scuba diving lessons (laughing)”, says Kru Pui. She tells us that she has different diving licenses of different levels, starting from Open Water Diving to Dive Master. However, her full-time job as a computer engineer limited her diving trips. Consequently, she decided to resign, started her scuba gear shop, and completely entered the diving instructor arena.

Kru Pui shares with us the inspiration to be a scuba diving instructor. She wants everyone who wishes to dive to be able to dive successfully. She feels good every time she helps the students who are afraid of water, or have bad experiences with water, to beat their fears and dive as they always want.

Having found out that she could help a lot of people to dive, she starts to be sure that she likes to teach and share diving knowledge. So, Kru Pui decided to continue her study to be an instructor of diving instructors and eventually became one as expected.

“There have been a lot of memorable moments, but there are 3 events I would like to share”, says Kru Pui. There was a time when she had to teach a student who had a near-drowning experience. Of course, the student was so scared to get near water, not to mention diving. However, the student had a strong intention to learn how to dive as he wanted to propose underwater. His girlfriend really loved to dive.Kru Pui says that it took a lot of patience and understanding. The student slowly got familiar with water, took it step by step to beat his fear. Finally, Kru Pui helped the student to be able to dive. He could then surprise his girlfriend by proposing underwater.

Next memorable event was when Kru Pui had a chance to be a volunteer diving instructor for disabled kids from a project called “Wheelchair Scuba Thailand – Strong Hearts Create Strength”. Both disabled and blind children could learn some theories before diving under the sea. Kru Pui says she was so glad she could be a part in making these kids experience the underwater world. Such rare opportunity can inspire any instructors.

The last experience was when she taught a student to be a diving instructor. Once, there was a student who wanted to be a diving instructor, and he wanted to change something he liked to be a dependable career. The student told her he wanted to beat those who insulted him. The student was not well-educated, so he could not make a living well. He wanted to improve his standard of living. Eventually, his hard work paid off, and the student could become a diving instructor as he wished. Kru Pui says the case makes her so proud, especially when someone calls her “teacher”,

Kru Pui says that several people surprisingly find out that diving lesson is easier and safer than a driving lesson or riding a motorbike. Please do not be afraid that sharks will attack you. Contrarily, when you know how to dive, you yourselves will be the ones who follow the sharks to see them closely.
