Mai Khao Beach

This is the only place to visit in Phuket where you can see airplanes up close. If you’re quick enough, you can snap a photo with a landing airplane. The runway of Phuket International Airport is adjacent to Mai Khao Beach, so planes land very close to the sand. It’s a new favorite spot for relaxing and photo-taking.

Phung Chang Cave

Although this cave is located in Phang Nga province, it is accessible from Phuket. It is a large cave within the heart of Elephant Mountain, which resembles a crouching elephant. You need to take a canoe to enter the cave, followed by a bamboo raft ride through various rocky passages. This is a unique unseen Phuket experience.

travel-story-3-0

Bon Island

A small, quiet island that isn’t very crowded because it’s part of the private area of Evason Phuket & Six Senses Spa. There is only one accommodation option on the island, so most people visit for day trips. Many come to snorkel and wait for the manta rays that often appear around the island. It’s a peaceful place to visit in Phuket.

Coconut Island (Koh Maphrao)

This island is perfect for true relaxation with its pristine, beautiful nature. It’s a short trip from Phuket Island. You can explore nature trails on foot and visit numerous fishing villages. You can also rent a boat for a leisurely fishing trip. This is a recommended spot in any Phuket travel guide.

Ton Sai Waterfall

If you’re tired of the salty sea, this freshwater destination is a great alternative. Ton Sai Waterfall is a small, 12-tier waterfall with strong water flow year-round, especially during the rainy season. The shady atmosphere is ideal for a cool, relaxing day. Located just 22 km from the city, it’s a lush rainforest and the first discovered site of the white-backed palm. A must-see place to visit in Phuket.
