Take underwater photos and explore underwater heavens with Kru P from Scuba Paradive
“That feeling when you go diving is real peace of mind. The only sound we hear is our own breaths, and the natural beauty underwater is appreciated altogether”, says Kru P from Scuba Praradive School. He explains when we ask about the happiness from diving. In this article, Gother will take you to enjoy the journey of Kru P from Scuba Paradive. He started off diving as a hobby, but now he has become a Scuba Diving Instructor. Presently, he is known as “Kru P from Scuba Paradive”.
From a company employee to a scuba diving instructor
Kru P reveals that he used to work in a corporate world. Diving was something he wished he could try when he was young. Once he had a chance to try it with friends, it turned out to be his passion and dreams. When he lost all the passion at work, he decided to quit his job and stayed in Koh Tao for a month. He took a Divemaster class. He thought it would take only a few months, but it appeared to be over a year. Once he returned to Bangkok, he felt so restless again. Therefore, he decided to seriously follow his dream as a scuba diving instructor. Finally, Scuba Paradive as we know today was founded.
Why is he so fascinated with Scuba Diving?
Kru P shares with us his feeling when he is underwater. He finds it deeply serene and the only sound he hears is his own breaths. For a moment, he takes the opportunity to admire underwater beauty. Basically, there are many types of diving, such as shallow-water diving and free diving. Nevertheless, these kinds of diving require divers to hold their breaths. That's why Kru P chose to do scuba diving instead, as he wishes to hold on to these best moments in life as long as possible. He can swim through water and hear his own breaths. That's why he is really fascinated with scuba diving.

Kru P used to explore the underwater wonders in many locations of Thailand, and most of them are real heavens for divers. Therefore, we hurriedly ask Kru P to help share these spectacular locations with us. He even invites us to follow his own paths to the Bay of Thailand areas. There are many interesting points such as, “Sail Rock” where there are some rocks looking like sailboats emerging from the surface of the sea. There are various tunnels inviting divers to explore in the blue. The exits of this tunnel at 18-meter depth or at the Losin Island are truly magnificent. There is a football-field size of coral span, filled with many sea creatures. There are opportunities for divers to meet whale sharks, a very exciting feature in this area. Another diving location is at Koh Chang, where the discharged Royal Chang Warship was sunk there to be home for artificial coral. Let's imagine how striking it would be to dive around the shipwreck.
On the Andaman side, there are many diving locations such as Richelieu Rock (used to be one of the 10-best dive sites of the world). If you haven't been here, it seems like you have not arrived the North Andaman yet. The next diving point is Bon Island where Manta Rays and Ronun are occasionally found. While at Stonehenge Island, divers will find the beauty of the underwater Stonehenge. Normally, it can be found only on land in England. The underwater Stonehenge in Thailand is covered with soft coral. How amazing! The final location recommended by Kru P is Koh Hah, where there are many diving spots and secret underwater chambers. It's popular among divers to take silhouette photoshoots near Hin Muang Hin Daeng (Purple and Red Rocks). Divers can swim between these purple and red rocks. This was also where Kru P first met a Whale Shark.
The most impressive underwater photos by Kru P
Every time Kru P goes underwater, he takes a camera with him to capture great shots. Kru P explains divers who like to take photos can be divided into 2 types. There are those who love landscape photos focusing on wide-shots and big sea creatures, while the other type emphasizes on small animals (also called “Nudi”), such as sea slugs. You might imagine strange-looking-but-cute colorful creatures, or palm-sized animals. Kru P likes them, but he focuses more on landscapes.
We can't help asking Kru P about his most impressive shot. Yet, he says there are too many to share. Each of them is filled with fond memories, while some photos represent the first encounters with certain kinds of animals. He talks about Leopard Shark, naturally living alone. However, there was a day he met 2 of them together. It becomes one of his unforgettable shots.
Tricks for easy underwater photo-shooting
Most underwater creatures are easily startled. Once they see a human being, they are panic. Kru P suggests when we would like to take a shot, we need to slide ourselves in slowly and we could not just swim straight to them. Thus, there will be a few seconds' time to take photos before they flee. Kru P says it depends on luck whether we could find the creatures and take photos as we desire. It is totally uncontrollable, even though we have planned so well or have a lot of experiences in diving. Sea is a wide natural area. The are chances things might not go as planned once we arrive the diving spots.
In the end, Kru P talks about his success in making diving a crucial part of his life like he always wanted. He says he feels very happy that he decided to follow his dream. Therefore, if you dare to start following your dream, there are chances that your present hobbies or dreams can be a part of your life. That was what happened to him.
