Where to travel in June? We invite you to experience the natural wonders of Chaiyaphum, a destination with breathtaking landscapes.
Start your June trip in the morning at Pa Hin Ngam National Park, where you can witness the beautiful Dok Krachiao (Siam Tulip) fields blooming in shades of pink and purple under the morning light. This natural spectacle can be enjoyed from June to August. The best time to visit is from 6:00 - 9:00 AM when the park is most crowded. If you want to take photos in the cool mist while walking through the flowers, breathing in the fresh air, arrive at the park before 7 AM. Don’t forget to try the local Krachiao flower ice cream!
Next, climb to Pha Sud Phan Din Viewpoint for panoramic views of thick mist and mountain ranges. Take photos along the cliffside and admire the uniquely shaped rocks scattered around. Visitors can also help with the park’s reforestation efforts by shooting seeds from a slingshot off the cliff. If you get tired walking around the park, there’s a tram service available to take you to different attractions—very convenient!
Later in the morning, visit Mo Hin Khao, a group of sandstone pillars with unusual shapes formed by nature. Take photos with the five massive pillars, one of which has a circumference of 22 people’s arms. Nearby is the Khlong Chang Rock Formation, about 500 meters away, with many peculiar rock shapes. It’s often referred to as Thailand’s Stonehenge.
For lunch, try local Chaiyaphum dishes like Khao Suan Kwang Grilled Chicken, Chicken Steamed in Banana Leaves, or a spicy Som Tum Thai salad to fuel up before your next adventure. In the late afternoon, head to Tham Kaew Temple to marvel at the shimmering stalactites and stalagmites inside the cave. Pay your respects to the Buddha statue enshrined within for good fortune. The trail through the cave is short but dark, so it’s recommended to contact the staff before entering, wear sneakers, and bring a flashlight.

You can cross a bamboo bridge to pay your respects. Those seeking blessings often ask for good health by using the local Makham Pom (Indian gooseberries) grown throughout the village as offerings.
Next, head to Wat Phra That Cho Hae, a revered temple of the province, to pay respects for good luck.
